London Fly, November 2004

Members of four Southern Ontario Clubs decided to get together for one last fly before the winter set it. London was chosen as the location as it was virtually central to all the Clubs. After an unsuccessful attempt at the first location we found a suitable small park and made the most of the sun and wind. Representatives from the Royal City Fun Flyers, Renegade Strings, Kitchener-Waterloo Wind Climbers and Essex Kite Flyers were in attendance.

Jeff Donde's Sky Tiger and the EKF Rok grace the skies.
Dennis Ische's Tunnel Delta flew well in the variable winds.
Jeff Donde had secretly arranged for the New PL news crew to 'show up' and they shot lots of footage which was aired on the 6 o'clock news that night.
The New PL cameraman was roped into a quick lesson in flying power kites with the assistance of Jeff Donde.
As was the presenter. Both had grins from ear to ear and it was obvious that they both thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
After the fly we all retired to Jeff Donde's place for a pot luck supper. Here Rick Longhurst of the EKF sings for his supper.
Karen Green of the EKF brought along a kite decorated home made apple pie. It didn't last long after this photo was taken...........

......MMMM Pie!!!!

The 'gang' gather for a group photo before heading for home.
