Andrew Baxter Memorial Fly

May 14, 2005

Noon until 4 p.m.

(at least, depending on weather)

The fly is in memory of a young man who should have been a guest at our 2003 charity fly but he unfortunately passed away two days before the event at the tender age of just 17 years old. For the first two years the fly was held on behalf of the 'Make-A-Wish Foundation'® of Southwestern Ontario and a considerable amount of money was raised for this cause. This year the charity being sponsored is the 'Windsor Family Forum'.

Windsor Family Forum provides a wide range of services, for a wide range of families, with a wide range of requirements. More information on this organisation can be found on their website at : http://www.windsorfamilyforum.com

As well as kite flying demonstrations, fighter kite competitions, Rok battles and general kite flying fun there will be a live band, a 'loud' charity auction (including some rare, hand made fighter kites from some of the world's top builders) and lots of food.

Corporate sponsorships in the form of donations and/or services have already been provided by the following organizations/businesses and more are being added on a daily basis:

CAW Local 444

CR Music

Hooters (Windsor)

Knight's of Columbus

Net Success Inc.

Pepsi Bottling Group

Public Safety Services

Shoppers Drug Mart

The map below shows the location of Co-An Park with directions from the USA and London as well as local directions. You are more than welcome to come along and take part in this charity kite fly for a very deserving cause.

We look forward to seeing you on the field!
